Our mission is to work with governments and their partners to help them leverage their own data and resources, playing a small role in their daily pursuit of solving public challenges and improving outcomes for individuals and families.

Our history
From theory to practice
RIPL was born in 2015 as an economics lab, driven by a shared vision to harness data science and technology for enhancing public policy and improving lives. In 2018, we evolved into an independent nonprofit organization, broadening our ability to collaborate with government agencies and spearhead data-informed solutions to complex social challenges.
Throughout our journey, we've built an impressive portfolio of impactful partnerships and innovative projects. As a Google Public Sector partner and member of the Amazon Partner Network, we leverage state-of-the-art cloud technologies to power our cutting-edge solutions.
Our collaborations span multiple state governments - including Rhode Island, New Jersey, Colorado, Arkansas, Hawai'i, Maryland, and Washington - as well as federal agencies. Together, we develop and implement data-driven initiatives across various domains: workforce development, education, public safety, healthcare, and economic mobility.
